As a member of the Scottish Police Federation, you are entitled to a number of services if you contribute to the voluntary funds. You will be entitled to representation at conduct and disciplinary hearings as well as assistance with individual cases. Advice is also is available on all work related matters, there are a number of representatives throughout the Force who will be happy to assist.

In addition to your membership of the SPF, you will have access to various ‘Membership Services’ - see Members Area - and will be eligible to subscribe to the Insurance Group Scheme.

Insurance Group Scheme

Since October 2005, the GJBB has offered a Group Insurance Scheme to its members. The following elements are included:


Contributions to the scheme are made monthly and are deducted from members’ salaries*. There are a number of levels of cover available and hopefully you will find one to suit your needs. Subscription rates are subject to change at annual renewal. For current levels of benefit and premiums or for information on how you can join the Scheme, please contact the Federation Office.

*Please note that subscribing probationers will receive the first 31 weeks free of charge.
